There are two types of auctions; Live auctions and Auctions in the waiting area marked "Soon".
"Soon" means that this item will be placed in the active auction zone as soon as we see there is some
interest in it. You may also call these items tagged SOON as items in the waiting area, waiting to be
auctioned. These items may remain in this category for a week or two weeks but if they last for 4 weeks
without any interest we take them down and refund the bidders their bids. Please be also informed that
you just need to place one bid on the auctions marked SOON.
How do I know when the auctioned marked "Soon" have started?
By placing just one bid on these auctions you will be eligible to receive an email on the day these auction
start.
How many auctions can I win?
Our members are limited to winning 4 regular item auctions and 4 Bid Packs within a 7 day period. That
said if a member has already won 3 auctions and is decides to place bids on three more, the system will
allow him/her to do that. But after they have won 4 auctions in total bidding on the other two auctions
will stop, losing all the bid set on the extra two auctions.
When I pay what do I pay for?
After you win an auction you pay for the item won plus the shipping cost.
Where is the shipping cost listed?
The shipping information is listed by SHIPPING COST which is right under the price and besides the
product image on the auctioned product page.

Bid Bid Gone!
How does bidding work?
Bidding of every item on for10cents.com starts at 0 cents and $0.00 and with each bid the price goes up
one cent. Each bid has a time frame and if a bidder is out bided within that time frame, the auction price
will be extended by one cent and the clock will be reset. Information about time for outbidding is
located on the page with the auction details under the BID button. That information is also located in
the item details and auction lists in the form of a clock icon with the red area with the amount of time
left. The bids can be bought by clicking on "bid prices" tab on the top left corner of the home page.
What is Autobid?
The Auto bid system is designed to automatically bid for you, even if you are not logged in. Proper
settings of Auto bid require Amount of Auto bids being placed in the Autobid box under the red tab
stating "Autobid Setup".
You can set up the amount of bids which automatically will be placed (bids) during the auction. The
system brings the auction to close when all the bids placed in Autobid system are exhausted. The system
accounts amount of Auto bids in the order they were received. In Auctions where more than one user
uses Autobid, the Current Price is increased by the total of Bids of the users that use Autobid. The User
whose Autobid Bids last becomes the Auction Winner.
How to set up Auto Bids?
To set up an Autobid? (3 easy steps)
- Click on the product you want to bid on.
- On the right side enter the number of bids in the Autobid Setup section.
- Click “Turn On” tab
What if I still have bids left in Autobids when the auction ends?
The Autobid system does not use bids in bulk. When you enter number of bids you want in the
Autobid system, it will take bids from your account one at a time not in bulk. By placing a
certain number in Autobid system you are just informing the system that you want that
particular number of bids to be used for that auction.
What is the minimum number of Autobids?
You can enter minimum of 45 bids at one time. Autobid would not accept bids less than 45.
Can I change Autobid while its active?
Yes you can change the Autobid number as long as it is 45 or more but you cannot cancel Auto
Bids set.
Facts about bidding:
- User Bids by clicking “Bid” on the Auction Page or the page that references a specific Auction
- User Bids by using their bank of BIDS from their account. User can only Bid if there is at least one BID in their BID Bank. A BID can be purchased with a credit card/debit card or through PayPal.
- One BID or one Autobid decreases the User’s BID bank by one Bid.
- Each Bid increases Auction Time by a specified Bid Time if the Auction End Time is less than the Bid Time.
- The current price of the auction item is located on the Auction page.
- With each Bid or Autobid the item’s price increases from the Current Price by the amount of the Bid or Autobid.
- The last Bidder is the Current Winner of the Auction.
- The End of Auction is indicated as “Ended” on the Auction page.
- The Current Winner becomes the Auction Winner at the time of the End of Auction and the Current Price becomes the Sale Price. At this point, a contract to purchase the item has come into effect between the Auction Winner and For10cents.com.
Tick Tock Clock
How does the Clock works?
The auction listed on for10cents.com has time listed besides the product image. The clock will show
time in hours before the auction starts. For example, the clock will state 04:52:05. This means there are
four hours, fifty two minutes and five seconds for the auction to start. The time listed in the big red
block (where soon was stated before) shows the time left to bid. Once the time reaches 00:00:00 the
bidding will start and the time show in seconds.
What does 60 s or 30 s mean?
When time left says 30s or 60s, it is referring to time to outbid. For example If a bidder bids on a product
which has time to outbid listed as 30s (seconds). that means that another bidder has 30 seconds to bid
and raise the bid. If no one presses BID within those 30 seconds. the previous bidder will win that bid.
This time frame will change down to 15 and then 10 seconds and ending in 5 seconds.
